E911 System Millage (1.25 Mills)
When emergencies happen, every second counts.
The E911 System millage is up for renewal at its current rate of 1.25. The E911 System ensures residents can quickly reach emergency responders. Without this funding, the 911 system would be eliminated. This millage also funds four dispatcher's salaries. The millage keeps our emergency call system strong for the safety of everyone in our community.
Last year alone, 41,037 calls were answered in St. James Parish.
