Gramercy Recreation District Millage (4.61 Mills)
From team sports to playgrounds, Gramercy recreational system depends on this millage. The Gramercy Recreation District millage funded a new concession and restroom building, pavilion, pickleball court, spray park, swing set, and ADA playground. These additions will all need to be maintained, which is funded by the millage.
Last year along, 476 youth participated in recreational sports at the Gramercy Park.
Parish-wide recreation is funded by sales tax, which has been on a steady decline, reducing funds for recreation parish-wide. Without this district specific millage, operations and maintenance would be absorbed into the general budget, further limiting resources across all districts.
